Lithia Park in the summer! Here's what's happening in the summertime...
Free Lithia Park Nature Walks Enjoy beautiful Lithia Park’s natural history three days a week (four days during July and August), rain or shine. Trained volunteer naturalists from APRC will lead an easy, interesting, 1.5-hour nature walk through Lithia Park. Topics include: trees, flowers, birds, climate, water, geology, and the history of the park. Nature walks are free and all ages are welcome. Please meet at the park entrance, across from the Plaza in Ashland. Walks are provided by APRC and will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays (July and August only), Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; from the first of May through the end of September. Pre-registration is not required for the Nature Walks. For more information call the Rec Division office at 541.488.5340. Learn more about the man who started the walks in 1989!
