Doing Business

How to do business with the City of Ashland

The City of Ashland has a combination of centralized and decentralized purchasing processes. Departments have the authority to make purchases for less than $5,000 at their discretion, however competition is strongly encouraged. Purchases between $5,000 and $50,000 require 3 written quotes, and purchases for more than $50,000 require a formal solicitaion process.

If you would like to be included in future bidding opportunities, please contact the appropriate department listed below. If you have any questions regarding which department(s) to contact, and/or regarding the City's purchasing policies and procedures, please contact the Purchasing Representative at (541)488-5354.

Public Works construction projects include sewer and water systems, storm drainage systems, utility systems and streets and sidewalk. Construction is done by the City or by private contractors who are selected through a competitive bidding process.
