Building Appeals Board

The Building Appeals Board, which is Mayor appointed, consists of six voting members and meets on an as-needed basis pertaining to building related activities. The Building Official is an ex-officio non-voting member and acts as Secretary of the Board. The board adopts reasonable rules and regulations for conducting investigations and renders all decisions and findings in writing to the Building Official with a duplicate copy to the appellant. The Administrator of the State Building Codes Division shall be furnished copies of decisions interpreting state building code requirements.
