Empower EV Incentive Pilot Program - Program Summary
This pilot program ran from September, 2018 through June, 2019. The program supported more than 34 Ashland families and businesses in the adoption of electric vehicles and chargers.
This incentive supported adoption of electric vehicles and workplace charging infrastructure in Ashland. For most drivers, the Empower Incentive will paid for low-carbon, electric fuel for about a year. Incentives were available for purchasing vehicles or for installing workplace chargers.

What incentives are part of EmpowerEV?
Ashland Electric customers may choose one of the options below:

| Qualifying new or used Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle
| Qualifying EV Charger (Commercial accounts only)
Am I eligible?
1. Program availability
The service address listed in this application is a customer of Ashland Electric Utility, has an active account, and has not previously been awarded an EmpowerEV incentive.
2. The item purchased or leased meets the following minimum standards:
For electric vehicles:
o The vehicle is a four-wheel Battery Electric Vehicle or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle with a minimum 16 kilowatt hour battery.
o Vehicle is registered service address listed on this form.
o New vehicles (purchased or leased) and used vehicles (purchased or leased) are eligible.
o Vehicle is purchased or leased during the pilot program window: September 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
For electric vehicle chargers:
o Charger must supply "Level 2" charging capability with a minimum 30 Amp rating.
o Only new (first-time purchased) chargers are eligible.
o Chargers must be installed at listed service address.
o Service address is a commercial electric account.
o Charger must be purchased during the pilot program window: September 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
Incomplete documentation may result in incentive ineligibility. Applications received that do not meet the program criteria will not be considered. The City reserves the right to request additional information or documentation to process an application. The City is not responsible for documents lost or destroyed in the mail via transit or misdirected applications. Submitted program application and accompanying documents becomes the property of the City.
