The City of Ashland anticipates an annual allocation of approximately $212,500 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Program Year 2006 (July1, 2007-June 30-2007) by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following the recommendation of the Housing Commission, the City Council $152,800 will be applied toward purchase of property in support of the creationof affordable housing. The Rogue Valley Community Development Corporation was awarded $31,190 of the competitive 2007 CDBG award to assist in the YouthBuild Program which provides education and job skills training to low-income youth.
This document, the CDBG Action Plan for Program Year 2007, describes the project(s) that the City will undertake and the manner in which the project(s) are consistent with the priorities of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
Public Comment on the 2007 CDBG Action Plan can be submitted anytime prior to May 15, 2006 to the Department of Community Development at 51 Winburn Way.
The Housing Commission will hold a public hearing on the draft plan on April 26th at 5:30pm at 51 Winburn Way.
