The City has awarded the Rogue Valley Community Development Corporation $190,000 in 2005 CDBG funds to purchase and rehabilitate 3 townhomes for resale to low-moderate income households. Comments on the draft One Year Use of Funds Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funds for Fiscal Year 2005 may be submitted in writing throughMay 3rd, 2005 to Brandon Goldman, City of Ashland, Department of Community Development, 51 Winburn Way, Ashland, OR 97520. Comments may also be presented orally at the Ashland Housing Commission meeting at 4:00-6:00 April 27th in the Community Development Building (51 Winburn Way), or before the City Council meeting during the public hearing on the draft plan on Tuesday, May 3rd 2005 at 7p.m. at the Ashland Civic Center Council Chambers, 1175 East Main Street.
The City of Ashland is an entitlement city under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) CDBG Program. The City of Ashland receives more than $200,000 annually from HUD in CDBG funds. These funds can be used for a variety of housing and community development projects that benefit low- and moderate-income persons in Ashland. A One-Year Use of CDBG Funds Action Plan must be completed as part of the requirements the City must meet to receive CDBG funding.
