To assist in establishing existing levels of carbon emissions for the community, City operations and the City Electric Utility, a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory was conducted for the City by The Good Company, a climate action consulting firm based in Eugene.
The GHG Inventory provides the ad-hoc committee and the climate plan consultant, Cascadia Consulting Group, with data on the types of emission catagories and the levels of emissions from those catagories over the past five years within Ashland. This data will assist the ad-hoc committee in recommending goals,targets and actions to reduce local emissions as part of the community's commitment to participate and contribute to the global reductions necessary for long term sustainability of the planet.
