Preparations are being made to resume work on the Ashland Street Overlay Project, after it was suspended through the winter months. The final phases of the project are scheduled to begin on April 1st and will include the full replacement of the existing asphalt surfacing between Siskiyou Boulevard and Faith Avenue and final striping of the roadway. Final work on the two traffic signals in the project limits, as well as the new flashing beacons, will also be completed. Extensive lane closures and detouring will occur throughout the remaining duration of the project. Significant delays should be expected during normal working hours and it is highly recommended that drivers use alternate routes when and if possible. This project is anticipated to be fully completed by the end of June.
