In March, 2018 the Ashland Ad Hoc Senior Program Advisory Committee (ASPAC) completed its
duties. ASPAC’s final duty was to help create a standing Senior Program Advisory Committee (S-PAC) for the Ashland Senior Services Division. S-PAC will meet for the first time on Wednesday, May 16, 2 p.m. at the Ashland Senior Center. This meeting is open to the public. View the
agenda.
Currently, one opening remains on the committee. If you are interested, please complete a
committee application.
The purpose of S-PAC will be to advise Ashland Parks and Recreation Commissioners on matters related to the Ashland Senior Program. The new committee will be made up of seven (7) members, consisting of five (5) program participant representatives and community partner representatives, with at least two (2), but no more than three (3), from each group. In addition, there will be one (1) Ashland Parks and Recreation Commissioner and one (1) City Council liaison. S-PAC member terms will be three (3) years, with no member serving more than two (2) consecutive terms.
The Ashland Senior Services Division strives to provide a support system to the older residents of Ashland, helping to enable them to live more independently and to continue as contributing members of the community.
