On Wednesday, November 3rd the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest (RRSNF) will continue a controlled burn off USFS 2080 and 2080-200 roads on behalf of the Ashland Forest Resiliency project. Due to high elevation and distance from town, smoke is not expected to impact neighborhoods. Lower Bull Gap and Missing Links Trails will have smoke. Hikers or bikers should avoid these trails. Please see alternative routes here.
SAVE THE DATE: Next week at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 10th, AFR partners will host a Zoom meeting with the community for an overview of the controlled burn season. Register here to learn where we will be managing controlled burning and more about how prescribed fire improves forest health.
