Controlled Burning Planned along Horn Gap Trail Wednesday, February 24th

Ashland Forest Resiliency partners have a controlled burn planned along the Horn Gap Trail southwest of Ashland. Heavy smoke and burn piles will be along the Horn Gap Trail. Please avoid this area due to the heavy smoke and burn piles near the trail. No trails or roads will be closed. Professional fire crews will begin at 9 a.m. Ashland Forest Resiliency partners and the Rogue River-Siskiyou Mountain Ranger District will manage the controlled burn for increased community wildfire safety.

Potential Smoke Impact

Smoke will impact Horn Gap Trail on Wednesday, February 24th.
Avoid Horn Gap Trail due to heavy smoke and burn piles.
Smoke can be visible west side of Ashland and Interstate 5.
In the evening hours, there could be some smoke in town. Find health precautions for smoke on Smokewise Ashland.
