The City is seeking feedback on the Emergency Homeless Shelter

Emergency Homeless Shelter The City is interested in hearing your feedback on the Emergency Homeless Shelter located at 2200 Ashland St in southeast Ashland. The site was purchased in September 2023, with funding from the State of Oregon as part of Governor Kotek’s Emergency Order 23-02. The stipulation of this funding requires that the City operate the Emergency Homeless Shelter through January 10, 2024.

The local service provider for the shelter is OHRA (Opportunities for Housing, Resources and Assistance, Inc.). To date, OHRA has accommodated 38 individuals and there are currently 28 guests in the shelter. The shelter has been consistently full since opening on November 1, 2023.

Please complete the City’s online FEEDBACK FORM. The deadline for comments is Tuesday, December 19, at Noon.
THE DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS HAS PASSED. Council will take all feedback into consideration in decisions related to extending the shelter's operation to the end of March.
