TODAY, 3/15/2021: Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission Controlled Burn in Siskiyou Mountain Park

As part of our fuels reduction efforts for wildfire safety, Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission (APRC) will be burning TODAY: Monday (3/15/21). APRC is managing the controlled burn in Siskiyou Mountain Park (SMP) above Park Street. No trails or roads will be closed. You may see or smell smoke around the lower trails in SMP during the pile ignition.

If you have questions/concerns please contact our main office at 541.488.5340 or, email: ParksInfo@ashland.or.us #prescribedburn #controlledburn #AshlandParkandRec #APRC #APRCforestryTrails
  • In the morning during ignition, some smoke may impact lower trails above Park Street in Siskiyou Mountain Park
  • Smoke will be visible but should not impact any populated areas
Thank you for the continued patience as we do the important work of removing excess fuels near town and from the Ashland watershed.
