Wednesday, January 23, 2019: Pile Burn Near Panther Peak and US Forest Service Road 2060

Today, Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and Ashland Forest Resiliency partners plan to complete a prescribed burn on 14 acres of burn piles near Panther Peak. No trails or roads will be closed however, Road 2060 adjacent to the burn may have some smoke impacts. Even though the partial government shutdown continues, the Forest and Region recognize this  important work has a limited time frame to accomplish these necessary fuels treatments.
