1. Simon called the meeting to order at 5:00Attendance: Simon, Geraghty, Houston, Seltzer (staff liaison), DuQuenne (council liaison),
Absent: Yamaguchi
2. Geraghty read the Land Acknowledgement and Houston read the Labor Acknowledgement
3.M/S approval of October minutes Geraghty/Houston. Approved.
4. Introductions
- City Councilor Jeff Dahle introduced himself and explained that he wants to learn more about the work of SERJAC and will be sitting on future meetings.
- Transportation Advisory Committee member Holly Christiansen introduced herself and explained that one of the TAC goals is to connect with other committees. She provided a brief overview of the work of TAC.
5. Geraghty walked the group through the proposed
2024 Action Plan of SERJ with goals identified by the Mayor. Members in attendance indicated which tasks they could take.
- Geraghty will continue as liaison to the Ashland Together group.
- Houston and other members will research and identify local DEI partners and provide the information to Seltzer who will compile a master list of contacts.
- Simon will contact Muse about providing DEI training to SERJ members.
- Geraghty will develop an outline of what Listening Sessions could look like.
- DuQuenne will continue to work with the Chamber to develop DEI training for local businesses.
- Seltzer noted that the results of the DEI Assessment will not be ready until later in the spring.
6. MLK discussion occured at the October meeting.
7. Review of
SERJAC history was noted. Members were encouraged to become familiar with the document and submit questions to Seltzer.
