Controlled Burn Planned in Upper Watershed Near Horn Gap Trail

UPDATE: Fire crews are moving today's controlled burn operations across the watershed to the 2060-200 Road near Horn Gap Trail. The new location is highlighted on the map in red.

On Thursday, December 1, the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest will manage a controlled burn to consume burn piles on behalf of the Ashland Forest Resiliency project. 

Predicted Smoke Impacts: Lowest Priority – Level 1
Location of Controlled Burn Horn Gap area in upper USFS 2060-200 Road (west side of the watershed)
Date of Controlled Burn Thursday, December 1st
 
Potential Smoke Impacts
The 2060-200 road near Horn Gap Trail along the burn area may have some drifting smoke and smoke may be visible from town, but not impacting the community or trails.
