Green Debris Drop Off Day

“Clean Up Your Green Debris, Be Fire-free!”

Ashland Fire & Rescue, Recology Ashland and the Wildfire Safety Commission 
are proud to announce the 10th Annual FREE Green Debris Drop Off Day!

 

Sunday, May 2nd, 2021

3000 Valley View Road, Ashland OR

*bring your ID to show proof of Ashland address*

Create a Firewise yard before fire season starts by removing the “fuel“ from a potential wildfire.
Drop off your green debris free of charge!

ACCEPTED MATERIALS: Only organic green debris will be accepted.  This includes leaves, pine needles, small branches (up to 6 inches in diameter), brush and other green debris.

PROHIBITED MATERIALS: Please leave trash, stumps, logs, firewood, soil, dirt, rocks & treated lumber at home.  If you bring your green debris in bags, the bags need to be emptied and taken home.

Where: Valley View Transfer Station, 3000 N. Valley View Rd., Ashland, OR

Who: All Ashland residents showing proof of address 

What: The Valley View Transfer Station will be opened on Sunday only to Ashland’s Green Debris Drop Off Day participants. No other towns or persons will be able to drop off any waste of any kind on this day.

Why: Removing wildfire fuel like leaves, pine needles and small branches from your house and gutters can significantly reduce your wildfire risk and help prevent the spread of wildfire within the city of Ashland. 

How: Remove leaves, branches & other green debris from your yard, load it into your vehicle and drop it off FREE OF CHARGE to the Transfer Station. 

What happens to my green debris?
Recology Ashland composts all green debris and keeps it out of the landfill.  For more information regarding Recology Ashland and its disposal programs, click here.
