Festival of Light
31 years of Magical Moments Kick Off at Ashland’s 2023 Festival of Light Celebration, brought to us by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce & Travel Ashland.

Each year on the day after Thanksgiving, Ashland’s East Main Street comes alive with the magic of the holiday season at the launch of the Festival of Light Celebration. On Friday, November 24 at 5 p.m., children, music and Santa’s elf and reindeer will escort Santa and Mrs. Claus from the Ashland Library to the Brickroom Balcony where he will greet the crowd and light the town, bringing the magic and the wonder of the holidays alive! This event kicks off the Season of Celebration in Ashland where we invite and encourage everyone to support our local businesses for holiday shopping, dining and adventures this year.

On Saturday, November 25, Small Business Saturday, Spend Local to Spend Local!  The Ashland Chamber is sponsoring a Shop Small promotion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ashland Chamber office. Be one of the first 100 people to stop by the Ashland Chamber office and pick up your support local game card. Shop or dine at four local businesses (two must be retail) from Monday, November 27 through Friday, December 15 and bring your completed game card back in for a $25 Ashland Chamber Gift Certificate – good at nearly 50 businesses in Ashland. Show support for our local businesses and the Ashland Chamber will treat you to $25!

Ashland Chamber Gift Certificates make a great gift for the holidays! They are available online or at the Ashland Chamber office. The office is open Monday- Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The holidays in Ashland continue through New Year's and are filled with music, magic and more. On First Friday, December 1, Rogue World Music will be Wassailing around the plaza beginning at 5 p.m. and Chamber Music Concerts will hold a pop up concert on the Brickroom balcony with the American Brass Quintet, holding their full concert the next day. From December 8- 10, the Siskiyou Singers are holding their holiday concerts at the SOU (Southern Oregon University) Music Recital Hall. The weekend of December 15-17, the Rogue Valley Symphony is holding “Home for the Holidays,” at the Bowmer Theatre and the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers are holding their performances, “In Times of Softest Snow,” at the SOU Music Recital Hall. Theaters like the Oregon Cabaret Theatre and Camelot Theater in Talent have shows going on as well. Celebrate with Ashland Parks and Recreation at First Frost at the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink on Saturday, December 16 for fun for the whole family!  We look forward to celebrating Mt.
