This morning at 7:12am a 911 call reported a dump truck on fire at North Main and Schofield Streets in Ashland. Ashland Fire & Rescue was on scene at 7:17am and the fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. The fire and response closed North Main in both directions during the morning commute, causing traffic congestion coming into and out of town. The cause of the fire is being investigated. No one was hurt and the road reopened just after 9:00am.
