Ashland Creek in Lithia Park UPDATE: As of August 18, 2023, the water quality in all of Ashland Creek is safe to be in.

High bacteria levels detected in Ashland Creek near the children’s playground in Lithia Park.

Bacteria and parasites are present in every open body of water (ponds, creeks, rivers, lakes) at all times. Currently, there is an elevated level of E. coli bacteria in Ashland Creek near the children’s playground in Lithia Park. It is strongly recommended that no one wade, bathe or swim in this area of Ashland Creek.
