On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, Jackson County will conduct a Citizen Alert Test in preparation for fire season. This test will be for Southern Oregon residents who live outside of the City of Ashland.
The City of Ashland will not be participating in the Alert Test on May 23, 2023. A test for Ashland residents will take place toward the end of May or first part of June 2023.
Please note that if you live outside of Ashland City limits, you are strongly encouraged to sign up for alerts through Jackson County. More information at

If you live within the Ashland City limits, you are urged to sign up for emergency alerts for the City of Ashland, at
ashland.or.us/Alerts. (Remember to sign up everyone in your family who has a smart device.) Those who live within the Ashland City limits may also opt to sign up for County alerts too.
