First Friday Public Artworks Presentation

Learn about YOUR Public Art this First Friday – May 6 from 6pm to 7pm. Please join members of the Public Arts Commission (PAC) at three downtown public artworks. You will hear stories about the artists and how the artworks were made.
 
May 6 Featured Artworks
 
Nourishing Our Community – artist Lonnie Feather
Location: Pioneer and Lithia Way (stone sculpture in front of Stop & Shop).

Street Scene – artist Marion Young
Location: East Main Street near Pioneer (in front of Chamber of Commerce).

Velocity – artist Gordon Huether
Location: Alley between East Main Street and Thomas Theater
 
What is the Public Arts Commission? The PAC is comprised of citizens who wish to enhance the cultural and aesthetic quality of life in Ashland by actively pursuing the placement of public art in public spaces and serving to preserve and develop public access to the arts. The PAC encourages all citizens to observe, discuss and participate in Ashland’s vibrant Public Art scene.
