September is National Preparedness Month

National Preparedness Month is a great time to get ready for all types of disasters. This includes building and emergency kit, planning an escape route, creating a home inventory, and reviewing insurance coverage. To highlight the importance of having an up-to-date home inventory and the right insurance coverage, September 1st through the 7th is designated as Home Inventory Week by the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation.

For more tips on building your home inventory and reviewing your coverage go to dfr.oregon.gov/preparenow.
