MINUTES COST REVIEW AD-HOC COMMITTEE
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH, 2019 3PM 5PM

I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Slattery called the meeting at 3:00 PM
Members in attendance were Jim Bachman, Roberta Stebbins, Pamela Lucas, Stefani Seffinger and Shaun Moran.
Members Julie Akins, Mike Morris and Mark Welch were absent.
City Administrator Kelly Madding, Administrative Services Manager Bryn Morrison, Ashland Fire Chief Shepherd and CEO of Mercy Flights Doug Stewart were also in attendance.
II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
- Cost Ad-Hoc Review Committee November 6, 2019
Bachman/Stebbins moved to approve the minutes. All Ayes. Motion passed unanimously.
City Administrator Kelly Madding gave a brief overview and introduced Medford Fire Chief Fish and Fire District 3 Chief Horton.
III. MEDFORD FIRE CHIEF FISH PRESENTATION
IV. FIRE DISTRICT 3 CHIEF HORTON PRESENTATION
Chief Fish and Chief Horton gave a brief background about themselves.
Items discussed were:
- The amount of 911 calls.
- Type of 911 calls.
- Response time to 911 calls based on the type of call.
- Data collection.
- Working with Mercy Flights.
- Patient treatment care.
(Shane Hunter arrived at 3:35 PM).
- Communication with Mercy Flights and each Fire Department.
- Budget.
- Dispatch systems.
- County Communication with Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO).
- Risk tolerance.
- ASA Issues.
- Ambulance response time.
- Rating from 1-10 on working with Mercy Flights.
- Cooperation and service with working with Mercy Flights.
The Committee discussed the upcoming schedule.
V. CENTRAL SERVICES CONTINUED
This item was continued to the next meeting.

The Meeting was adjourned at 4:50 PM.
