Special Meeting Minutes

Siskiyou Room, 51 Winburn Way 8:15 a.m.

Commissioners Bayard, Benson, Dvora, Jorgensen, Jackson (Council liaison), Seltzer (Staff liaison) were present.

Bayard called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m. and asked Seltzer to review the agenda for the presentation to the City Council at the study session scheduled for April 7.

The commission was in agreement to the proposed presentation agenda with some changes in presenters and materials. Benson asked that photo's be submitted to him in a jpeg format. Bayard asked what the commission would leave for the Council. It was suggested that they be given a copy of the table of contents of the draft Policies and Procedures document and an 11x17 copy of the landscape design for the Calle, which identifies placeholders for public art.

It was decided to postpone the nomination and confirmation of Kip Todd as incoming chair until the next meeting as Todd was absent.

Benson stressed the importance of using consistent language when writing about or discussing the Calle project to avoid confusion.

The commission will have a "dry run" of the study session presentation at the March 17 meeting. That meeting will be held in Council Chambers.

• Dvora will prepare text to accompany photos prepared by Benson.
• Bayard will prepare presentation on PAC update and provide copies of the table of contents of the policies and procedures manual.
• Wilkerson will prepare presentation on Calle project with Benson's assistance.
• Jorgenson will prepare brief presentation on Gateway project with Benson's assistance.
• Jackson will prepare a summary on funding.
• Jackson will assist Todd with information for funding presentation assuming that Todd is agreeable to making the presentation.
