The Senior Police Volunteers run our Vacation House check program. This program is free to citizens of Ashland who will be away from their residence for no more than 90 days.
To make the program most effective, we need to check the residence each day. Due to the demand for our services it has become necessary to make changes so as not to overload the program. Below, please find a few of the rules that must be followed.
The maximum number of days our volunteers will watch your home is 90 days and there must be a 90 day lapse in service between services. In other words, you cannot phone in and ask for an additional 90 days while your home is currently on a house watch. Any request for house check must be placed prior to leaving. You must speak to someone in person for your request. Messages left on voicemail will not be accepted.
For house check please call 541-482-5211 (weekdays only).
When you return from your vacation please call the vacation house check line at 552-2128 and advise of your return.
