Note: Due to changing availability, there may be a wait to be matched to a volunteer or buddy. New volunteer applicants must wait until the next volunteer training to start.
Ashland Senior Phone Buddy is a program of the Senior Services Division of Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission. The program's goal to increase social connection for older adults. Volunteers make fun, social phone calls to one or more “buddies” who may be isolated at home or just seeking more connection in their lives. Regular social calls have been proven to foster well-being and improve physical health for both the caller and the recipient.
Volunteer to Make Calls
Are you seeking a COVID-safe volunteer role? You can help others from the comfort of your home!
