Free social and cultural events or educational workshops on topics of interest to seniors and their families are offered at Ashland Senior Center or occasionally other locations. Our partner AARP offers the six -hour Smart Driver course once per quarter. Jackson County Library Services is currently teaching a monthly series on Technology Basics. How to be Smokewise - FREE In-Person Class (for those age 50+)

Learn what you can do to reduce your exposure to smoke from wildfires and controlled burns. Space is limited so sign up soon! A free air purifier will be provided to one participant with the drawing held after the class. *Must be present to win.*

Fieldtrip to Britt Festival Orchestra

Join us on our annual outing to The Britt! This year we'll enjoy the Britt Festival Orchestra's performance of works by Ravel, Sibelius and Reid, among others. Thank you to Britt for providing tickets and transportation for this event.

*Transportation provided to and from Britt Pavilion in Jacksonville: Bus leaves Ashland Senior Center at 7pm, returns around 11pm. Please arrive by 6:45pm to ensure a timely bus departure. There is limited disabled access for the bus, bathrooms and event seating.

Local author Sue DeMarinis will read from and discuss her latest novel,
Hidden in Haarlem, and sign books. Based on the true stories of a survivor of the Dutch Resistance during World War II, this novel takes the reader on an unimaginable ride through the escapades hidden in ninety-five-year-old Johan's memories.
