Write Your Memoir / Indoor Class - CLASS FULL (as of 2/9/24)
Learn how to write your own memoir! After introduction to popular memoirs and writing prompts, you’ll be provided helpful tools to determine your audience, personal writing voice and the type of memoir you want to develop. There will time during each class to write a paragraph or two for sharing. Bring a pen and notebook, or iPad or laptop.

FITNESS & MOVEMENT
Gentle Yoga / Indoor Class
The focus of this one-hour hatha yoga class is to increase strength, flexibility and balance while simultaneously alleviating stress and fatigue. Additional benefits of regular yoga practice include an overall sense of well-being and an increase in self-awareness and self-acceptance. Participants must be aware of their own capabilities in order to participate safely. Ability to get up and down from the floor is required. Each class will conclude with deep relaxation. Please bring your own yoga mat; other props will be provided. If public health guidelines change and indoor, in-person classes are not possible, this class will move to Zoom.

Personalized Strength & Balance Training / Indoor Class
Enjoy small group personal training that helps prevent and reverse physical declines associated with aging. Each session meets twice a week for a month, excluding holidays. This program focuses on muscle, cardio and bone health, brain health, and body awareness. Each participant will get a customized plan and several instructor check-ins by phone and email to review goals and progress. While designed for most fitness levels, participants must be able to get up off the floor unassisted. Equipment will be provided. Add life to your years and years to your life!

Tai Chi / Indoor Class
Tai Chi is a moving meditation that strengthens bones and muscles, improves balance and increases flexibility. Qi Gong, the movement of energy through the body, is also incorporated.

Senior Walkabouts / Outdoor Activity
Come enjoy some fresh air, exercise, and good company! A volunteer guide will lead this 8-week walking group near the Dog Park. Walks will be held at a gentle pace and will take approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Routes will stay on accessible paths. Please meet at the Dog Park parking lot, at 950 Perozzi St, five minutes before start time. Walks will take place rain or shine; please dress accordingly. No dogs as leashes are a tripping hazard.
