Good morning, Ann:
It was nice talking with you this morning and I'm looking forward to our next meeting on the 7th.
The subcommittee of Anyania, Nataki, and I met yesterday on Monday the 27th from 4:00-5:00 pm on Zoom.
We spent some time discussing our recommendation regarding the resource need of conciliatory services and have created a list, not yet vetted, of potential support. We recommend that this list be held for whatever vetting should be done, and then can be a service to the Commission's work and the work CoA wishes it to do. I'm attaching that below.
After speaking with you today, it sounds like a future task might be for someone(s) from this subcommittee to directly reach out to do some very basic vetting of the resource list-Is this company open to doing this type of work, if so how and what budget they might require. In essence, and please tell me if I'm incorrect Ann, but you felt we would take on that task of developing an initial relationship with the vendor.
After that point, if the service was requested by an Ashland constituent, we (the commission) would request from City Council the appropriate funding and getting the two parties situated to do their work. I'm still unclear if the City has to do additional vetting of vendors it works with, but assume that would be on the City's side of things, not ours as we are not City employees.
You mentioned the list we created, and these brief minutes (what I've said here) will be included in our agenda for the meeting on the 7th.
