2019 Community Development Block Grant Program
Annual Action Plan Available for Review

The City of Ashland is an Entitlement Jurisdiction for the Community Development Block Grant Program.  The City of Ashland anticipates an annual allocation of $178,562 in Community Development Block Grant funds for Program Year 2019 (July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020) by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
 
The City Council has identified that a total of $44,784 in grant funds in the 2019 grant year is to be awarded to three projects:  $15,834 to St. Vincent de Paul-Home Visitation Program for emergency rent and security deposit assistance, $10,950 to Maslow Project for outreach and case management for homeless youth enrolled in the Ashland School District, and $18,000 to Ashland Food Angels to complete repairs and upgrades to their food storage facility. 

This document, the CDBG Action Plan for Program Year 2019, describes the project(s) that the City will undertake and the manner in which the project(s) are consistent with the priorities of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The plan shall be available for review on April 22nd and is available in hard copy at the Department of Community Development at 51 Winburn Way.

Public Comment on the 2019 CDBG Action Plan can be submitted any time prior to May 23, 2019 or be presented to the Ashland Housing and Human Services Commission at a public hearing on the plan on May 23rd at 4:30 pm at 51 Winburn Way.
