Results from Resident and Business Public Opinion Survey on North Main Road Diet

This document reports the results of a stratified random sample public opinion survey commissioned by the City of Ashland and conducted by Southern Oregon University Research Center in the fall of 2013.

In 2012, the area on North Main Street from Bush Street to the railroad overpass was reconfigured from four lanes of traffic to two lanes of traffic with bicycle lanes and a center left turning lane.  This was a pilot project and the City of Ashland commissioned the public opinion survey of Ashland residents and businesses so that the results could be used to aid in the decision of whether to retain the lane changes or return to the four-lane configuration.
