Make A Plan

In addition to getting a kit, you must make a plan and practice that plan with your family. Remember to include things like important contact numbers, insurance policy information, and out of town contacts for family members in your plan. If you have animals or pets, you must also consider how you will evacuate, treat and feed your animals during a disaster.

Your plan should also include what to do if you have to evacuate your home, place of work, or school. Consider what you will do if you have to shelter in place at home, work or in the car.
