Ashland is unusual in the sense that our city storm drain network is often interconnected with irrigation networks. Irrigation “tailwater” is returned into storm drains, many stream channels are used as conduits for delivery of irrigation water to users, and in some places city storm drain pipes are also used by Talent Irrigation District to deliver water to customers.
