Banner Permit

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETION OF APPLICATION FOR A
BANNER PERMIT

Banners hung across East Main are permitted for events sponsored or endorsed by the City of Ashland only.  Endorsement can be obtained in one of two ways; 1) a City Commission or Committee formally agrees to endorse (a letter addressed to Administration from the Commission or Committee Chair required) followed by the City Council giving final approval of the endorsement, or 2) an event or organization needs to be receiving grant funding from the City (granted through the annual budget process.)

If your event is sponsored or endorsed by the City, please fill out the application form attached below and mail to or drop off at the Public Works Department, 51 Winburn Way, Ashland OR, 97520.  It is highly recommended that you reserve the week for hanging no more than six (6) months in advance by calling Public Works Administration (541) 488-5587.  Preference is giving to banners of City sponsored events.

The banner permits costs $125.00 per week.

Banners must meet ODOT standards. Please note: due to limited storage space, all banners must be picked up from the Department of Electric Utilities within ten (10) days of the banner’s removal from East Main Street.  The Department of Electric Utilities will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any banner left after that time.

For more information, please call Public Works at (541) 488-5587.
