The Nature Center is open to the public five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visitors may view many interpretive displays on the exterior and inside the building.

EXHIBIT ROOM
Come and see the mural that displays the valley's prominent natural features. The artist, Jenna Kesgen, was a graduate student at Southern Oregon University in the Environment Education program. In addition, the room contains educational exhibits, a wall sized watershed map, and many toys and puppets. A whimsical fairy tree-house now delights young visitors. The tree-house is over four feet tall and is made from natural and recycled materials. This new feature encourages imaginative play with natural materials.

DISCOVERY ROOM
The new Discovery room is designed to include more interactive natural science exhibits. Three aquarium tanks now house live aquatic species: mosquito fish, crayfish, and tree frog tadpoles. The Bird Corner includes an iPad station for listening to local bird calls paired with visual aids. A weather station displays current conditions and weather education.The “Look Closer” station, designed for close-up exploration, includes a flexible camera that can be focused to magnify small objects for viewing on a wall-mounted flat screen. Nature sketching kits encourage visitors to draw what they see.
