City donates fire engine to Greensprings Rural Fire District
The City of Ashland has donated a fire engine to the Greensprings Rural Fire District. Both entities share a special relationship with each other and a common goal of serving the citizens of Ashland and surrounding communities.
“We value our partnership and mutual aid with the Greensprings Fire Department. The fire engine we donated will still be used to support fire operations in Ashland through our agreements. We are grateful for their commitment to the protection of their community and are happy we could assist them in increasing their fire protection with a vehicle which served the Citizens of Ashland for 23 years – We truly are better together,” stated Fire Chief Sartain.
