Controlled Burning South of Granite Street and off Ashland Loop Road

On Thursday, April 6, a private land burn will be managed for community wildfire safety south of Granite Street. A second private land burn is being managed by a private landowner off the Ashland Loop Road above Morton Street.

County Burn Days on Private Land
During county burn days this spring, the community may see private land owners using controlled burning that are not part of Ashland Forest Resiliency (AFR). As a courtesy to private landowners and for community smoke planning, the City of Ashland can help with announcing larger burns on private property. When projects are planned as part of AFR, partners will continue notifying the public of all planned controlled burning for AFR.

Two Controlled Burns on Private Land
  1. First burn location is in town and close to Ashland Loop Road a mile below White Rabbit Trailhead and, a second burn is south of Granite Street.
  2. Smoke is not expected to affect any roads or trails.
