Red Flag Warning For Increased Fire Danger: Are You Ready?
The National Weather Service has declared a Red Flag Warning for increased fire danger starting Thursday at midnight and lasting through Saturday at approximately 10:00AM.
This is a good time to make sure you are ready for any fires that could threaten our community. Here's what you can do:
Make sure your family, friends, and neighbors are signed up for emergency alerts on the City Nixle page.
Make an evacuation plan and have your Go Kit ready. Take only one car and avoid parking on the street if possible.
Make sure your home is fire ready by removing leaves, needles, and bark mulch from your roof, gutters, and within five feet of the building and keeping all plants lean, clean, and green.
