Delayed Opening of the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink

At a press conference on Friday, November 6, 2020, Governor Kate Brown announced new efforts to pause social activities due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Jackson County.  The numbers have been steadily rising for weeks in Jackson County.

The “pause” will be in effect for two weeks from November 11 through November 25. Originally, the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink was set to open on Saturday, November 21; however, the opening will be delayed until further notice. “While the ‘pause’ is a disappointment, given the current COVID-19 cases it’s the right thing to do. Until we are out of ‘pause,’ we cannot say when the ice rink will open,” stated APRC Director, Michael A. Black.
