The Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners will conduct a controlled burn on Saturday in the Ashland Watershed. The burn is between Ostrich and Panther Peaks and will impact the Ricketty Trail, which runs through the burn area. Road 2060 (west side), Road 2060-400 and No Candies Trail may have some smoke impacts. Trails lower in the watershed like Jabberwocky are open and smoke-free. Please avoid the Ricketty Trail.
Thank you for your patience as we complete controlled burns to increase fire safety for our community.
The Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project (AFR) is a collaborative forest restoration project that reduces the risk of severe wildfire across public and private land in and around the Ashland Watershed by thinning overcrowded forests and conducting controlled burns.
