Siskiyou County Wildfire

On Thursday July 5th, 2018, the Klamathon Fire started in Siskiyou County California just over the Oregon/California border.  The Klamathon fire has consumed approximately 8000 acres as the morning of July 6th. The fire is not directly threatening the city of Ashland, but has caused evacuation orders  and the temporary closure of Interstate 5.  Interstate 5 has now been reopened in both directions as of 0730 Friday morning.

Ashland Fire & Rescue is monitoring the situation and will continue to update as necessary. At this time, there is no threat to the City.  For information on the Klamathon fire please go to Cal Fire Siskiyou Unit's Facebook page or the Cal Fire webpage.
