Controlled Burns will Continue at Four Separate Locations on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018

Controlled burns will be conducted at the following locations by the Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project:
  • Quail Run Road - Smoke will be visible between Ashland and Talent off Highway 99 and Interstate 5.  Residents near Quail Run Road and Rapp Lane should keep their doors and windows closed for the day.
  • Acid Castle Rocks - Residents around the Strawberry Lane and Hitt Road could see or smell smoke.
  • Upper Tolman Creek Road - Siskiyou Mountain Park could have some smoke.  Please avoid this area if you are sensitive to smoke.
  • East side of Watershed - Further up the road where Tolman Creek turns into the Ashland Loop Road, a controlled burn will continue 1/2 from Eastview Trailhead.
Controlled burns to reduce fuels and the risk of wildfire in our community were managed by several organizations including: Ashland Forest Resiliency Partners, Lomakatsi Restoration Project, Ashland Parks and Recreation and the U.S. Forest Service Rogue River-Siskiyou Mountain District.
