Ashland Prescribed Fire Training Exchange (TREX)
Fire professionals visiting from three countries (US, Mexico and Spain), 7 states and 20 organizations will help with controlled burns around Ashland through the end of next week.  TREX participants take annual and ongoing training to maintain and develop their prescribed fire qualifications.

Mild fires managed by professional fire teams are an important process for cycling nutrients and helps reduce the ground fuels, small shrubs and young trees. Controlled burns also reduce our community fire risk.
