Council approved appointment of Steven Asher to the Wildfire Safety Commission.  For more information click here.

Council approved the Mayor's recommendation for Annual re-appointment to the various Commissions/Committees and Boards. For more information click here

Council approved acceptance of the 6th Quarter Financial Report. For more information click here.

Council approved the staff request to submit a grant application to the Oregon Department of Energy for a potential solar and battery system project at the City’s Service Center at 90 North Mountain with the understanding that staff will bring this item back to Council prior to acceptance of the grant if awarded. 1.  2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Award and CDBG Action Plan.

Council approved to direct Staff to draft the 2019 Annual Action Plan for the use of Community Development Block Grant funds reflecting the award of CDBG funding for the 2019 Program year as follows:
 
· $18,000 to Ashland Food Angels in Capital Improvement funding for the repairs to their food storage and processing facility
· $15,463 to St. Vincent De Paul in Public Service funding for their Home Visitation Program
· $10,850 to Maslow Project in Public Service funding for their School Based Services.


Council also directed Staff to bring back possible options for funds to be used to repair Pioneer Hall and the Community Center. For more information click here. 
 
2.  Land Use Appeal 476 N. Laurel Street.

Council approved to affirm the decision of the Planning Commission, reject the appeal and direct staff to prepare written findings for approval reflecting the original Planning Commission decision from March 12, 2019 for adoption by Council.  For more information click here.

Council approved
 to recommend to the Citizens' Budget Committee a Sub-Committee be established to make recommendations to award the small grants program and that the restricted Tourism dollars consist of roughly $80,000 and the unrestricted roughly $150,000.  For more information click here.
