Pursuant to ORS 223.304 (6) & (7) notice is being given to all interested parties of the City of Ashland’s intent to change the methodology for calculating system development charges (SDC) for Transportation allocations. A public hearing on the new methodology is scheduled before the Ashland City Council for November 6, 2018. All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.
The proposed methodology will be available for public review at 51 Winburn Way, Community Development and Engineering Building, Engineering Department no later than September 5, 2018. The proposed methodology will also be posted on the City’s website: www.ashland.or.us.
State statutes require a 90 day notice prior to the public hearing and 60 days ahead of the public hearing the methodology must be available for consideration of adoption of changes to the SDCs. We are stating the process at this time in order to meet the requirements for the November 6, 2018 public hearing and first reading of the ordinance. Second reading of the ordinance is scheduled for November 21, 2018. Transportation SDCs, should they be adopted, will be effective on January 1, 2019.
