At 6 P.M. tonight, The Unified Commanders, Oregon Department of Forestry, CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 4 and Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Rogue Valley Fire Chiefs, and BLM will host a community meeting at the Ashland Hills Hotel (Aquarius Room).

WHAT: The Unified Commanders, Oregon Department of Forestry, CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 4 and Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Rogue Valley Fire Chiefs, and BLM, will be hosting a community meeting to discuss the current situation of the Klamathon Fire. Officials will be giving an operational overview briefing highlighting the current actions that firefighters are taking on the fire. Current maps of the fire will be available, as well as other handouts. Additionally, officials will be available to answer questions.
Morning Update
The fire has consumed 35,000+ acres with 30% containment. We are in contact with Cal Fire, Oregon Department of Forestry, US Forest Service and the Command Post and there continues to be no threat to the City of Ashland.
A "Level 3" (GO) evacuation has been issued for Colestin Road and all tributaries, Old Highway 99 from the California border to Mt. Ashland Ski Road and Old Highway 99 to just Callahan's Lodge.
A "Level 2" (BE SET) evacuation has been issued for the Mt. Ashland Ski Road from the ski resort to Highway 99, and Highway 99 from Mt. Ashland Ski Road to the 6700-block.
