Council President Dennis Slattery called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
Councilors’ Slattery, Graham, Akins, Seffinger, Rosenthal and Jensen were present.
Mayor Stromberg joined the Study Session at 5:35 PM.
As the May 18 Study Session will be held electronically, written testimony for public input will be accepted via email to public-testimony@ashland.or.usas long as they include the subject line: May 18 Study Session Testimony and are submitted before Monday, May 18 at 10 a.m. Written testimonies submitted by the deadline will be available to the City Council before the meeting and will be included in the meetings minutes.
Financial Update
Interim City Administrator Adam Hanks gave a brief Staff report. Hanks spoke that Interim Finance Director Bryn Morrison, Parks Director Michael Black and Interim Public Works Director Scott Fleury would be joining the meeting to answer any questions.
Hanks spoke that he is looking for feedback from Council regarding solutions on planning for the Food and Beverage Tax.
Mayor Stromberg gave an overview of how the City will be working on the City’s finances. He also spoke regarding the Governors orders and how the City will be dealing with this.
Food and Beverage Shortfall Plan Projected Amounts.
Food and Beverage Shortfall Plan Wastewater Fund Impact.
Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT).
General Fund Expenditures.
Transient Occupancy Tax Shortfall Plan.
The Study Session was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
