YCC 2024 will have two sessions, each limited to 12 participants. Session 1 will run June 10-13, and Session 2 will run June 24-27. Each session is Monday-Thursday, 8:00am to 2:00pm.
Students are required to participate in all 4 days of YCC, and students will earn 25 hours of academic community service hours upon the completion of the program.
Each year APRC offers an opportunity for the youth of the Rogue Valley to participate in restoration and riparian work in Ashland parks and trails during our summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).
Incoming 8th through 12th graders will spend a week performing a variety of parks and trails maintenance tasks including invasive species removal, trail chipping, hand watering newly planted native species and shoring up well-used hiking trails.
Earn Academic Community Service Hours
After successfully completing the program, participants will earn 25 hours of academic community service per session plus recreation passes the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink.
