UPCOMING EVENTS with Ashland Senior Services Division

Free social and cultural events or educational workshops on topics of interest to seniors and their families are offered at Ashland Senior Center or occasionally other locations. Our partner AARP offers the six -hour Smart Driver course once per quarter. Jackson County Library Services is currently teaching a monthly series on Technology Basics. Ashland Japanese Garden: Guided Walk for Seniors & FriendsAshland Japanese Garden

Meet at front entrance of the Japanese Garden, facing Winburn Way

Join us for a free, guided walk of the beautiful Japanese Garden in Lithia Park. Enjoy the spring blossoms and learn about this world-class new addition to Ashland! The walk will be led by our own Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission Director, Michael Black. This walk will be held at a slow pace and stay on accessible paths, to accommodate any participants with limited mobility issues.

Instructors:  Sara Jones, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Ashland Forest Resiliency Project and Brian Hendrix, Fire Adapted Communities Coordinator with Ashland Fire & Rescue's Wildfire Division.

Learn what you can do to reduce your exposure to smoke from wildfires and controlled burns. ​​​​​​​Space is limited so sign up soon! A free air purifier will be provided to one participant with the drawing held after the class. *Must be present to win.*
